President Shakashvili asked us to design a Pedestrian Bridge to join the City Centre to cross the Mtkvari River. We decided to propose two different schemes, one for a “covered Bridge”, and one for an “open Bridge”. Michele de Lucchi went for the covered option, while my Partner and I designed the open version.

As it can be seen from the pictures, the covered option was the one chosen. The Bridge was produced in Italy by Permasteelisa, and shipped to be assembled in Tbilsi.
